According to Sports Media Watch, approximately 312,000 people watched Saturday’s K-State/Stanford AT&T Kickoff Classic on television. It was the lowest-rated game that day in which two Power 5 programs played each other. Was it worth it to move this game to Dallas? We were told a big reason for the move was television revenue and ratings. Scheduling the game on FS1 at 11:00 AM probably didn’t help, but this is a lower number of people than what K-State football games normally draw. It’s probably not a big deal in the long run, but I found it interesting.
