From The Couch – Moral Victories Are Good Enough For Some K-State Basketball Fans

   The Kansas State basketball team played its best game of the season yesterday afternoon.  Unfortunately, they saved that effort for a game against one of the best teams in the country, the Baylor Bears.  Baylor won the Big 12 quarterfinal game 74-68.  Some K-State fans on social media celebrated the loss as if Bruce Weber had just led the Wildcats to the national championship.  It was quite bizarre to witness.  The fans weren’t the only ones celebrating.  Bruce Weber…

From The Couch – A Comfortable Win For These “Young Guys”

   A good win in game one of the Big 12 tournament tonight for K-State, beating TCU 71-50.  Nijel Pack led the Wildcats with 23 points, making five three-point baskets.  Mike McGuirl added 17 points. A strong defensive performance and a 16-0 run helped propel K-State to the victory.    Kansas State basketball lost 65-43 to West Virginia yesterday in a game they were forced to play without starting guard Nijel Pack due to an eye issue. From The Couch – Pack Is Back/K-State “Won The Play Hard Chart” But Still Lost to Texas A&M

  Texas A&M beat K-State 68-61 in Bramlage Coliseum yesterday.  Despite a slow start by K-State, it was a close game most of the way.  Nijel Pack kept K-State in it with 26 points and eight three-pointers.  DaJuan Gordon went down with a leg injury early in the first half and was seen in a boot after the game.  The extent of his injury is not known at this time, but he’s likely out for the next game.  Let’s take…
