Well that was fun. K-State beat a top 10 Baylor team in Bramlage Coliseum last night in a thrilling overtime game. I think I had about four heart attacks during the game and I stubbed my toe on my coffee table as I jumped off the couch when Arthur Kaluma hit the game-winning three point shot as time was running out in overtime. It is kind of different for a coach to offer up a bedroom to fans that can’t find a hotel room in Manhattan, but Jerome Tang is a different guy. Although this was said in a joking manner, Coach Tang would like to see a sellout against Baylor tomorrow night! The game will be broadcast on ESPN Plus at 7:00.
Former K-state football player and current member of the K-State football coaching staff dropped this tidbit of information on “X” today. The loss of his grandmother didn’t appear to affect his play at all, which points to the poise and confidence that Joe Hall mentioned in his message. My condolences to Avery Johnson.
247Sports released their bowl and playoff projections for 2024 and they have K-State playing the Texas Longorns in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff. This would be great for me to see K-State get revenge on Texas for the loss in Austin in 2023. While the Wildcats making the College Football Playoff isn’t out of the question, matching up against the Longhorns probably isn’t very likely to happen. Regardless, it’s nice to see K-State get some buzz already.
