Quarterback Avery Johnson Lost His Grandmother Hours Before Pop-Tarts Bowl Start
Former K-state football player and current member of the K-State football coaching staff dropped this tidbit of information on “X” today. The loss of his grandmother didn’t appear to affect his play at all, which points to the poise and confidence that Joe Hall mentioned in his message. My condolences to Avery Johnson.
247Sports Predicts K-State Will Be In The College Football Playoff In 2024
247Sports released their bowl and playoff projections for 2024 and they have K-State playing the Texas Longorns in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff. This would be great for me to see K-State get revenge on Texas for the loss in Austin in 2023. While the Wildcats making the College Football Playoff isn’t out of the question, matching up against the Longhorns probably isn’t very likely to happen. Regardless, it’s nice to see K-State get some buzz already.
K-State Women’s Basketball Moves Up To Number Seven
The K-State women’s basketball team moved up to number seven in this week’s AP Poll. The lady Wildcats travel to TCU on Wednesday to take on the Horned Frogs. The game is at 6:30 and will be broadcast on ESPN Plus.
