The most impressive thing about @avery2johnson first career start is the poise and confidence he displayed while knowing that he had just lost his grandmother hours before. Support the kids that deserve to be supported. Some of them are exemplary individuals well beyond football.

Former K-state football player and current member of the K-State football coaching staff dropped this tidbit of information on “X” today. The loss of his grandmother didn’t appear to affect his play at all, which points to the poise and confidence that Joe Hall mentioned in his message. My condolences to Avery Johnson.
