  K-State’s draft streak continued in 2000 when five players were selected. Darren Howard, Mark Simoneau, Damion McIntosh, Lamar Chapman and Frank Murphy comprised the draft class. The 1999 NFL Draft was the 6th year of K-State’s draft streak.  K-State had six players selected in the 1999 draft, the most K-State players ever selected in a seven round draft.  This draft class was comprised of Martin Gramatica, Jeff Kelly, Ryan Young, Michael Bishop, Justin Swift and Darnell McDonald. The K-State NFL draft streak continued in 1998 when offensive lineman Todd Weiner was drafted in the second round, number 47 overall, by the Seattle Seahawks.  Todd played four seasons for the Seahawks before being picked up by the Atlanta Falcons, where he played the final seven years of his career. 1997 was the fourth year of the draft streak.  K-State had two players drafted in the 1997 NFL draft, defensive back Chris Canty, who declared for the draft after his junior year, and wide receiver Kevin Lockett. 1996 was the third year of K-State’s draft streak.  Linebacker Percell Gaskins was the only K-State player selected in 1996, going in the fourth round, number 105 overall, to the St. Louis Rams. Percell played in 15 games for the Rams in 1997 with one start, his only season in St. Louis.  For the season he recorded 21 tackles and had one fumble recovery.  He was waived after the season and was picked up by the Carolina Panthers.  He played…
