K-State Sports Clip Of The Week
K-State basketball had its first exhibition game of the season on Tuesday, as the Wildcats beat Washburn 76-49 in front of 6,800 fans in Bramlage Coliseum. To me personally, it was quite refreshing to watch K-State basketball under Jerome Tang. There won’t be any instant success with this team, but they are athletic, play great defense, and are aggressive in rebounding the basketball. How many wins will that translate to? It’s hard to say right now, but if I had to bet, I would say this team will NOT finish in last place in the Big 12. They have too much talent for that to happen.
I watched Jerome Tang’s post-game press conference and there was a humorous exchange between Tang and a reporter, who asked why Tang was a minute or two late to the floor before the game. You could tell the reporter was looking for a story idea when asking the question, as he assumed Tang was taking a moment for himself to reflect prior to coaching his first basketball game. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one, as you’ll see in Tang’s reply below….
The look on Tang’s face as he is listening to the question and then his reaction to it makes this the obvious choice for clip of the week!
