A Bye-Week Reset Of Expectations For The Wildcats

A Bye-Week Reset Of Expectations For The Wildcats

It’s time for a bye-week reset of expectations for the Kansas State Wildcats. Despite a 37-31 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, it was great seeing K-State quarterback Skylar Thompson back healthy and leading the Wildcat offense. He was cool, calm, and collected while completing 29 of 41 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns in the game. Having Thompson back gives me hope that Kansas State can make a bowl game, and maybe even a good bowl game,…

From The Couch – Skylar Is Back!

From The Couch – Skylar Is Back!

Skylar Thompson returned at quarterback yesterday in a 37-31 loss against the Oklahoma Sooners. There is a lot to unwrap about the game, so this is a longer read than usual. K-State/Oklahoma Pregame Hype

It’s OU game day! I like to watch highlights of previous K-State/OU games to help get me pumped up for the game. This year MAY be the last time K-State plays Oklahoma for a long time if they find a way to move to the SEC as early as next year. Here are some of my favorites: The original “Stand Up For The Champions” video of the 2003 Big 12 Championship game: That screen pass touchdown to Sproles may be…

From The Couch – “We still think we are the best in the Big 12.”

Chris Klieman and a handful of K-State football players addressed the media yesterday and there were some eyebrow-raising quotes to discuss. Also in the news, there is a basketball scrimmage before the football game on Saturday and a K-State semi-finalist for the William Campbell trophy. Let’s go…. “I would say not likely this week. He’s doing more things. Maybe late in the week we’ll have a better understanding, but right now I would say no. It’s going to be Will…

K-State Has A Quarterback Problem

K-State Has A Quarterback Problem

The Chris Klieman era began at K-State on Saturday, August 31st, 2019. Nobody quite knew what to expect. How would this team look compared to Bill Snyder’s Wildcats? Would they be better? Worse? I was skeptical of the hire because Klieman had no FBS head coaching experience. He was a good coach, but could he recruit at a high FBS level? Would he be able to take over the roster and win some games? Despite my skepticism of the hire,…
