From The Couch – Moral Victories Are Good Enough For Some K-State Basketball Fans

The Kansas State basketball team played its best game of the season yesterday afternoon.  Unfortunately, they saved that effort for a game against one of the best teams in the country, the Baylor Bears.  Baylor won the Big 12 quarterfinal game 74-68.  Some K-State fans on social media celebrated the loss as if Bruce Weber had just led the Wildcats to the national championship.  It was quite bizarre to witness.  The fans weren’t the only ones celebrating.  Bruce Weber…

From The Couch – A Comfortable Win For These “Young Guys”

A good win in game one of the Big 12 tournament tonight for K-State, beating TCU 71-50.  Nijel Pack led the Wildcats with 23 points, making five three-point baskets.  Mike McGuirl added 17 points. From The Couch – A Win’s A Win For K-State Basketball/I Receive Mean Tweets

K-State beat a horrid Iowa State team 61 to 56 on Saturday.  A win’s a win and it’s much better than being on the losing side of things.  The Wildcats proved they are not the worst team in the league, beating the 0-18 Cyclones for the second time this season and earning the number nine seed going into the Big 12 tournament. Senior Mike McGuirl had another great game, scoring 17 points.  Sophomore forward Antonio Gordon did not play.  Bruce…

Kansas State Football: Five Questions Heading into Spring Practice

March is here. That’s not just the NCAA Tournament, that’s also the start of college football spring practice. The Kansas State Wildcats start their spring practice this year under Chris Klieman, who is preparing for his third season as the head coach of the program. Here are the five biggest questions heading into this spring.   1) Is Jake Rubley going to redshirt?   Starting quarterback Skylar Thompson is returning for the 2021 season, but he is still recovering from…
