Former K-State basketball player Keyontae Johnson is on the active roster of the Oklahoma City Thunder and scored four points against the Trail Blazers last night. He played 17 minutes in the game, so here’s hoping he remains on the active roster going forward.
K-State cornerback coach Van Malone won the Big 12 cornerback coach of the year awarded by Our Coaching Network. I have never heard of this organization, but it appears that they use quite a few different metrics (passer rating against, pass breakups, interceptions, cornerback ratings, etc.) to determine their award winners. The K-State women’s basketball team beat Oklahoma in Bramlage last night to move to 16-1 on the season. Their only loss was to number five Iowa on November 26th. They have a big game on Saturday, hosting the number 10 ranked Texas Longhorns. Win that game, and they may be on track to win the Big 12.
