K-State Basketball – Five Facts About Omaha

K-State basketball plays Nebraska-Omaha Wednesday night at 7:00 PM in Bramlage Coliseum. The game will be broadcast on ESPN Plus.

Here are five facts about Nebraska-Omaha….

1. They play in the Summit League. Perennial NCAA tournament participant Oral Roberts is what I would consider the premier basketball program in the league. Kansas City (UMKC) also plays in the Summit League.

2. They were picked by the coaches to finish 8th (out of 10) in the Summit League preseason poll.

3. They lost their top three scorers from last season’s team.

4. The tallest players on their team are 6’9″ sophomore Dylan Brougham and 6’9″ junior Devin Evans.

5. They are 1-1 so far this season. They beat Hastings 67-57 and lost at Ball State 73-69.

This should be an easy one for the Cats, but Missouri probably thought the same thing last night before losing to Kansas City.

Here’s a highlight video of their victory against Hastings. A free throw and a lot of high fives and fist bumps made the video….
