From The Couch – Latest Basketball Recruiting News

There is still a lot of recruiting buzz around K-State basketball. Jerome Tang and his staff are making waves on the recruiting trail. While they haven’t received any commits yet, it’s fun watching this unfold. Here is some of the latest news and buzz from recruits.

JM: Dawes is a class of 2023 four-star small forward from Houston, Texas. He has offers from Texas, Texas Tech, Houston, and Stanford, among others.

JM: Lofton was first-team all-conference USA this past season, averaging 16.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore. I’m not sure of the likelihood of K-State getting him when programs like Kentucky are involved, but it’s nice to see K-State on the list.

JM: Walter appears to think highly of the K-State coaching staff. It will be interesting following this recruitment.

JM: Another class of 2023 recruit. Seems like quite a few of these commits are considering K-State and Illinois, which is interesting.

JM: Young averaged 19.6 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, and 3.7 assists last season for Charlotte.

JM: And one football recruiting tidbit in with all the basketball stuff. This news about Dylan Edwards is a good sign. I’d guess Oklahoma and K-State are his top two.

One thing is for sure. The K-State basketball coaching staff is recruiting at a level that K-State fans haven’t seen in a while. Can they close the deal on some of these recruits? We shall see.
