From The Couch – K-State Women Beat Texas Tech As Ayoka Lee Goes Over 1,500 Career Points

The K-State women’s basketball team beat Texas Tech last night to improve to 7-4 in the Big 12 conference and 17-6 overall. Ayoka Lee had 31 points in the game and surpassed the 1,500 point mark for her career, now with 1,503 career points. Kendra Wecker holds the all-time career scoring mark for K-State basketball with 2,333 points. It will be interesting to watch and see if Lee will be able to get the 831 points needed the rest of this season and next season to pass Wecker for first place all-time. Here are some highlights from the game.

“Yeah. It’s great. It’s not really something that crosses my mind too much. But yeah it’s great. I’m thankful for it. Thankful for the moments I get to celebrate with my team.”…Ayoka Lee, February 5th, 2022

JM: Up next for the women’s basketball team is a game on Wednesday night at 7:00 against number nine Baylor in Waco. Then a game against Kansas in Lawrence at 6:00 on Saturday.
