Collin Klien Lands Commitment From Quarterback Cameron Kruse

Collin Klein has landed his first high school quarterback commitment since returning as K-State’s head football coach. Cameron Kruse is a 2027 prospect out of Tennessee.

Kruse announced his commitment to the Wildcats on social media on Tuesday, April 28. He is currently unranked by major recruiting services, but he chose K-State over offers from Miami, Northwestern, West Virginia, Memphis, and others.

Listed at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, Kruse is coming off a season in which he completed 73% of his passes for 2,264 yards and 35 touchdowns with three interceptions, while rushing for 376 yards and six scores. He led the Patriots to a 14-0 record, capped off by a game-winning drive in the TSSAA Class 5A state championship game.

Kruse started his career in Kansas at Olathe West. He started for varsity as a freshman. He is now in Tennessee after his dad, Jerod Kruse, became an assistant coach at Tennessee State.
