Victory over UMBC!

It wasn’t pretty, but K-State was victorious over UMBC last night, 50-43, to move on to the Sweet 16.  This is the first time K-State has been in the Sweet 16 since an Elite 8 appearance in 2010. K-State Beats Creighton, Plays UMBC Next!

K-State beat Creighton 69-59 last night in the first round of the NCAA tournament.  The Wildcats held Marcus Foster to five points and controlled the game throughout.  K-State will play UMBC in the second round.  UMBC shocked the world, becoming the first 16 seed to ever beat a one seed in the tournament.  It University of Maryland Baltimore County is from the America East conference.  They upset top seed Vermont in the America East Conference tournament to earn the automatic…

De’Andre Hunter out for the tournament

Virginia guard De’Andre Hunter is out for the NCAA tournament.    This will help whoever plays Virginia, as Hunter was the ACC sixth man of the year and made the all freshman team.  He was a key part of their rotation.  Virginia is a possible 2nd round match up for K-State, but they have to beat Creighton in the first round first.
