247Sports released their bowl and playoff projections for 2024 and they have K-State playing the Texas Longorns in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff. This would be great for me to see K-State get revenge on Texas for the loss in Austin in 2023. While the Wildcats making the College Football Playoff isn’t out of the question, matching up against the Longhorns probably isn’t very likely to happen. Regardless, it’s nice to see K-State get some buzz already.

K-State offensive guard Cooper Beebe was graded as the best offensive guard in college football in 2023 by Pro Football Focus. This is probably not a shock to anyone, but just another of his long list of accolades. Congratulations, Cooper!

K-State cornerback coach Van Malone won the Big 12 cornerback coach of the year awarded by Our Coaching Network. I have never heard of this organization, but it appears that they use quite a few different metrics (passer rating against, pass breakups, interceptions, cornerback ratings, etc.) to determine their award winners. Congratulations to Van Malone!

New K-State co-offensive coordinator and assistant head coach Matt Wells posted a picture of the Powercat on Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Twitter with the simple hashtag #EMAW. Looks like he’s looking forward to getting to work!

Klieman and Ahearn are tied for second place with 39 wins. Bill Snyder is in first place with 215. Klieman needs 176 more wins to tie Snyder. Can he do it?
