According to Sports Media Watch, approximately 312,000 people watched Saturday’s K-State/Stanford AT&T Kickoff Classic on television. It was the lowest-rated game that day in which two Power 5 programs played each other. Was it worth it to move this game to Dallas? We were told a big reason for the move was television revenue and ratings. Scheduling the game on FS1 at 11:00 AM probably didn’t help, but this is a lower number of people than what K-State football games…

From The Couch – Down Goes Stanford!

I took a trip down to Arlington this weekend with my son and my parents to watch the kickoff classic between K-State and Stanford. It was awesome to see so much purple everywhere! I’d estimate about 25,000 K-Staters made the trip. They were loud, boisterous and extremely happy to see their Wildcats. I got home this afternoon and watched my recording of the game.
