Star women’s basketball player Ayoka Lee is expected to miss four weeks of playing time after having ankle surgery on Friday. This puts the Wildcats’ quest for a Big 12 championship in jeopardy. It figures that this would be announced the day after I wrote an article touting the K-State women’s team as Final Four contenders.

The good news is that it appears Lee could be back for the UCF game on February 17th, which would allow her to play the final five games of the regular season as well as postseason play. Let’s hope Lee comes back as good as ever after her four week hiatus.
