K-State cornerback coach Van Malone won the Big 12 cornerback coach of the year awarded by Our Coaching Network. I have never heard of this organization, but it appears that they use quite a few different metrics (passer rating against, pass breakups, interceptions, cornerback ratings, etc.) to determine their award winners. Congratulations to Van Malone!
