K-State played an almost flawless first half against the Kansas Jayhawks yesterday, leading 50-34 at halftime before going cold in the second half and allowing Kansas to come back and win 78-75 in Bramlage Coliseum. Considering the Wildcats sometimes struggle to score 50 points in a game, scoring 50 points in a half had Wildcat fans feeling pretty good at halftime. K-State lost their Big 12 basketball opener 71-69 to Oklahoma in Norman on Saturday night. The Wildcats got off to a slow start, falling behind 8-0 and trailing by as many as 15 points in the first half before trimming the lead to 33-22 by halftime.
