Becoming The “Hunted”

Becoming The “Hunted”

“The target’s on our back. There are expectations, but that’s why you came to Kansas State. To have high expectations. To be the team that people want to beat.”..Chris Klieman at Big 12 media day, July 13th, 2023. It’s been a while since K-State football was the “hunted” in the Big 12 instead of the “hunter.” Other than a five or six-year stretch from 1997 to 2003, K-State has usually entered the football season as the underdog with a chip…

What If?

What If?

Thoughts On Chris Klieman’s New Contract

Thoughts On Chris Klieman’s New Contract

K-State head football coach Chris Klieman received a contract extension and pay raise this week. The deal runs through the 2030 season and will pay him 44 million dollars, an average of 5.5 million dollars per season. It makes Klieman the fourth highest-paid coach in the Big 12, behind Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy, Oklahoma’s Brent Venables, and Texas coach Steve Sarkisian. It is a great deal for everyone involved, and it helps put my mind at ease that Klieman will…
