From The Couch – Four-Star Offensive Lineman Brayden Harris Is A Wildcat

Collin Klein and the K-State Wildcats received a commitment from a highly rated four-star offensive lineman, Brayden Harris.

“Rated as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite, Harris chooses the Wildcats over his top schools of Missouri, Arkansas and UCF. Other offers included Cincinnati, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska and Oklahoma State. Missouri in specific was deemed to be the frontrunner for quite some time, but Collin Klein & Co. end up victorious.”…Ryan Gilbert, 247Sports

JM: This is an exciting recruiting win for Klein and K-State, especially considering who they were competing against for this commitment.

“Harris checks in as the No. 394 overall prospect in the 2027 class, while being the No. 40 OT and No. 7 player in the state of Missouri. He’s listed at 6-foot-5.5, 270 pounds.”…Ryan Gilbert, 247Sports

“Visiting some of these colleges has been very unreal, especially Mizzou. I grew up rooting for them — home state team — but now they see me and are talking to me as a recruit and not a fan. It’s a big change.”…Brayden Harris, February 12, 2026

JM: Beating out Missouri to get Harris is huge.

“I first started playing football because I liked the idea of a helmet — they look cool, and I can put them on, so that’s why I started playing. I played like every sport growing up and I switched to just football in seventh grade just because I like to hit people.”…Brayden Harris, February 12, 2026

JM: Sounds like the perfect offensive lineman, or linebacker, to me!

“At Kansas State I really love the connection with all the coaches. Also, Manhattan is a little different than most places.”…Brayden Harris, Yahoo Sports

JM: “Different” must be a good thing in this case.

K-State currently ranks number 29 in the 2027 team recruiting rankings, one spot in front of Missouri.
